David Goggins is a retired US Navy SEAL and former US Air Force Tactical Air Control Party member who served in the War in Afghanistan and the Iraq War. Now, he is an ultramarathon runner, ultra-distance cyclist, triathlete, motivational speaker, and author.
Goggins has completed over 60 ultra-marathons, triathlons, and ultra-triathlons, setting new course records and regularly placing in the top five.
He also held the Guinness World Record for pull-ups completing 4,030 in 17 hours.
But the real reason why David began long-distance running is because he wanted to raise money for Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a non-profit organisation that gives college scholarships and grants to the children of fallen special operations soldiers.
Goggins is also a public speaker who shares his inspirational story with hundreds of thousands of students across the country, numerous professional sports teams, and Fortune 500 companies staff.
At the end of 2018, David released the book “Can’t Hurt Me”, about his outstanding life story. Although during his childhood David was discriminated, physically abused, overweight, and poor, he now teaches us how to reach our full potential, overcome our past, and be the best version of ourselves – without any excuses!
