About the book
Lewis Carroll's 1865 children's novel follows a young girl, Alice, who tumbles down a rabbit hole and lands in a fantasy world where animals behave like people. Carroll was the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, and on a rowing trip up the river Isis he told the three Liddell sisters a story he later wrote out for Alice. John Tenniel provided 42 wood engravings for the first edition. The story's play with logic has kept it popular with adults as well as children, and it is a well-known example of literary nonsense. It has never been out of print, and translations exist in 174 languages.

As for a non-business book, it’s got to be Alice in Wonderland by C. S. Lewis. It’s an unrivalled work of imagination and shows what it looks like to “think outside the box”. Sometimes I like to flick through a copy and look at the illustrations if I’m stuck on a problem and need some inspiration.
