Bizarro Heroes

A collection of panels from Bizarro, Dan Piraro's syndicated newspaper cartoon, turns its jokes on superheroes. Piraro mocks the masked and caped crime fighters for their powers, their superlatives and their tights, and his detailed drawings often catch them out of costume, with Wolverine at the nail salon, Superman lounging on his couch at home and many others. Bizarro began syndication in 1985 and has gathered readers across the United States and Canada and in parts of Europe, Asia and South America. The National Cartoonists Society named it Best Cartoon Panel of the Year three years running, and in 2010 gave Piraro its top honor, the Reuben. The collection appeared in 2011.

Seth Godin called Piraro hysterical and, panel for panel, better than Gary Larson.
