About the book
Hermann Simon, an adviser on pricing to Fortune 500 executives, explains how pricing works and how it can create value for both companies and customers. He describes price as the place where value and money meet, and as one of the most pervasive and least understood economic forces in daily life. In his account good pricing mixes psychology, economics, strategy, tools and incentives, which leads many managers to fall back on hunches and rules of thumb. Simon draws on dozens of stories gathered over four decades, and on a life that took him from rural farmers' markets to an academic career and then to work as an entrepreneur and management consultant. It was published in 2015.
