About the book

Stephen King's sixth Dark Tower novel, the next to last in the series, finds Susannah Dean partly trapped inside her own mind. Mia, a heavily pregnant woman who was once a demon, has taken control of their shared body and escapes with it through the magic door in Doorway Cave. The rest of the ka-tet, with help from the Manni, open the door and are split apart. Jake, Oy and Father Callahan follow Susannah to New York City in 1999, while Roland and Eddie land in Maine in 1977, sent to secure a vacant lot from its owner, Calvin Tower. On that lot grows a rose the gunslingers believe is tied to the Dark Tower itself.

Mike Benkovich, founder of Anatomonics, brought it up in a book talk where he described himself as a big fan of fantasy series when he wants some escapism.

I'm a huge fan of fantasy novels when I feel like some escapism in my reading. I've read most of the major fantasy series over the years (completing The Wheel Of Time was one of my life's great achievements ;) ).
