John C. Maxwell's guide to leadership compares different leadership styles and sets out principles for inspiring, motivating and influencing other people while fostering integrity and self-discipline. He holds that these principles apply in any organization and can bring about positive change. He also covers the five traits that, in his view, distinguish leader managers from ordinary run-of-the-mill ones, along with the vision, value, influence and motivation that he says successful leaders develop. It first appeared in 1993 and has since been repackaged and, in a 2.0 edition, extensively revised.
