About the book
When Ned is invited to a surprise party a thousand miles away, his trip in Remy Charlip's picture book for children unfolds in alternating turns of good and bad luck. Each lucky break is followed by a setback: a friend lends Ned an airplane, and then the motor explodes. His route runs from New York to Florida, and his fortunes keep swinging between good and bad along the way. Charlip, who worked as a dancer and choreographer as well as an author and illustrator, made the bold pictures himself. The story has also been reissued in a classic board book edition for very young readers.
Lofelt co-founder and CEO Daniel Buttner likened its swings of luck to the ups and downs of an entrepreneur's life, and said he reads it to his kids whenever he can.

I also came across two children’s books I appreciate:
Wütend and Fortunately, which is essentially telling the story of the up-and-down life of an entrepreneur. Whenever I get a chance, I read those books to my kids.
