About the book

In Scott Adams's 2001 novella, a deliveryman meets a very old man who turns out to be the smartest person in the world and who explains the secret of reality. His account ranges over quantum physics, evolution, gravity, light, psychic phenomena and probability, and proposes that an almighty God destroyed Itself in the Big Bang and now survives as probability and the tiniest particles of matter. The Dilbert creator calls the book a thought experiment and challenges readers to work out what is wrong with the old man's explanation. Adams, a certified hypnotist, threaded hypnosis techniques through the text. Wary publishers led him to release it first as an e-book, and a sequel, The Religion War, followed.

Naval Ravikant called it very interesting in a podcast interview.
