Good Omens

Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's 1990 comic novel rests on the prophecies of Agnes Nutter, a witch whose book, written in 1655, is the only fully reliable guide to the future, and it says the world will end next Saturday. The armies of Good and Evil are massing, Atlantis is rising, frogs are falling, and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse travel by motorcycle. Two longtime residents of Earth are not looking forward to it: the fussy angel Aziraphale and the fast-living demon Crowley, who have grown fond of life among humans and would rather the end did not come. Someone, meanwhile, has misplaced the Antichrist. It later became a television series starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant.
