About the book
Ozzy Osbourne, singer of Black Sabbath, tells his own story, from a childhood of such poverty that the family all shared a single room to his career as a vocalist with the band and as a solo artist. Written with Chris Ayres because of Osbourne's dyslexia, the autobiography takes on the tales told about him, admitting that he bit the heads off a bat and a dove, and recounts thirty years of drink and drugs, overdoses, an accusation of attempted murder and a quad bike accident that nearly killed him. He insists he is no devil, just John Osbourne, a kid from working-class Aston who quit the factory to look for a good time. Frank Skinner read the audiobook.
Musician and filmmaker Andi Dumitrescu named it in an interview as one of the biographies he was reading at the time.
