About the book
Triathlete Chris McCormack, known as Macca, lays out what becoming a champion demands of the mind, the body and the spirit. He writes about the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, which combines a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a full 26.2-mile marathon in harsh conditions. After placing fourth there in 2009, he returned with a new strategic approach and in 2010, at 37, won the race for a second time, in a finish many called the most dramatic in its history. Alongside that account, McCormack gives concrete training advice for casual weekend racers, seasoned competitors and armchair athletes alike. An enhanced e-book edition adds embedded video and audio.
Waydev founder Alex Circei credits it with helping him train for an Ironman.
