The book covers the decentralized peer-to-peer network, the lifecycle of a transaction, security principles, and how keys, addresses and wallets work. User stories, analogies, examples and code snippets illustrate the main concepts. The revised and expanded second edition adds newer developments, among them payment channels, Segregated Witness and the Lightning Network.
Auston Bunsen, co-founder of CBlocks, said its chapter 4 explained the parts of a bitcoin wallet address in detail, which mattered because his company focuses on wallet generation. TOKENIZE Exchange founder Hong Qi Yu called it a comprehensive but not intimidating introduction to digital currency.

This [reading something helpful] happens with pretty much every book I read. Most recently it happened to me when I was reading “Mastering Bitcoin” by Andreas Antonoupolous. I had no idea what the components of a Bitcoin wallet address were and he elegantly explains them in detail in chapter 4. It’s particularly relevant because we started CBlocks and we focus almost exclusively on wallet generation for our customers.
