Last year, when I was talking to Bobby about our future plans for The CEO Library, we discussed the possibility of starting a podcast.

I’m an introvert who’d rather close herself in her own head (or a house built out of books), so the idea of getting myself exposed through a podcast utterly terrified me.

At the same time, I looked at it as a great opportunity to learn from people I admire, from entrepreneurs, investors, freelancers, managers and so on. To find out how books shaped their journey, use their lessons to improve myself, and share those lessons with you along the way.

We’re already doing that through the text interviews, but audio? It’s a totally different level. It allows you to have a much deeper and valuable conversation compared to an interview done via email, no matter how well you do the research or how many follow-up questions you address.

Sure, a live interview would be best, but you don’t always have that possibility (usually because there are a few thousands of kilometers separating you).

So, fast forward to today, I’m excited to share this news with you: our first podcast episode featuring a guest!

Ladies and gents, please meet Mike Benkovich!

Mike’s a web developer and entrepreneur based in Sydney, Australia. A decade ago, after reading Tim Ferriss’ book, “The 4-Hour Workweek“, Mike quit his job and started his own projects. He’s been making a living online ever since. He started a digital agency that he sold last year, but also a few side projects that have been bringing him a passive income.

Mike’s also an avid reader, always looking for ways to improve his personal and professional life.

From our talk you’ll find out more about:
– What triggered Mike to start his own online projects & backup plans.
– How he grew several online businesses & the mistakes he made along the way.
– His daily habits & productivity tips, including reasons why he’s setting weekly punishments.
– How to train your creativity muscle.
– His take on digital addiction – Mike’s completely off the grid with social media and will go for days without a phone.
– Why you should stop watching the news.
– How stoic principles helped him in life.
– Why most entrepreneurs practice endurance sports.

And, of course, you’ll also hear us go into details about Mike’s reading habits, and the books that had an impact on him.

Without further ado, hit play and listen to our talk:
