During his February 2013 keynote at the National Prayer Breakfast, a few feet from President Obama, Ben Carson criticized liberal government and called for a return to personal responsibility, free markets and upward mobility. Written with his wife Candy Carson as a sequel to their best seller America the Beautiful, the book sets out a plan to halt what the authors see as the country's fiscal and moral decline. Carson, a neurosurgeon who rose from poverty to the top of his profession, says he cares about what works rather than party labels and wants respectful debate with no topic off limits. He takes on education, health care, taxes, race relations, family values, charity and public faith.

Rupert Murdoch called it wonderful and recommended it to everybody, adding that Carson would make a great candidate.
