Taming Toxic People

They can be the toxic boss, controlling partner, lazy colleague or difficult parent: often charming at the start of a relationship or job, but manipulative, dishonest and aggressive, they disrupt relationships and organizations and tend to rise toward positions of power. Drawing on recent science, Gillespie offers a practical guide to spotting such people and managing their behavior at work, at home and in community groups. He also warns that society needs to rebuild the sense of community that once kept the everyday psychopath in check.
