About the book
Created by writer Alan C. Martin and artist Jamie Hewlett, the British comic follows an outlaw whose tank doubles as her home, roaming a post-apocalyptic Australia with her boyfriend Booga, a mutant kangaroo. Its strips borrow from punk visual art, collage and fanzines, and care little for conventional plot. The comic inspired a 1995 film.
Writer Kaci Lambe Kai called the comic series a fun, light read and said she loves strong female leads who are deeply flawed and weird.
