About the book

When pirates seize the ship, the passengers are brought to Armada, a floating city built from captured hulls and ruled by the scarred pair called the Lovers, where everyone works and no one may leave. China Miéville's weird fantasy is the second novel in his Bas-Lag setting. Besides winning the British Fantasy Award, it made the Arthur C. Clarke Award shortlist.

One of the few books I brought with me when I moved was The Scar by China Mieville. I love the steampunk world that was built, the storytelling, and prose.
