Andy Andrews wraps a set of success principles in a fable. David Ponder, a 46-year-old who was once a high-flying executive at a Fortune 500 company, is struggling to support his family, and when his daughter falls ill he cannot pay for her care. After his car skids on an icy road, he is carried back in time to seven turning points in the past, where figures including King Solomon, Abraham Lincoln, Harry Truman, Anne Frank and Christopher Columbus each pass on a principle. Together these make up the Seven Decisions that Andrews presents as the basis of personal success. Published in 2002, it became a Good Morning America book selection and was later adapted as a DVD.
Author and photographer Vincent Pugliese included it in his list of books to prepare young people for the workplaces of the future.
