About the book
Set in Ankh-Morpork, the 25th Discworld novel by British writer Terry Pratchett follows William de Worde, the black sheep of an influential family, who scrapes by writing stock letters and a gossipy newsletter for foreign notables. When a team of dwarves arrives with movable type, he and they launch The Ankh-Morpork Times, the Discworld's first newspaper, and he takes on Sacharissa Cripslock as a reporter. His taste for investigating stories quickly makes enemies. Meanwhile Lord Vetinari, the city's Patrician, faces charges of embezzlement and attempted murder, and the facts appear to point to his guilt.
Brandon Sanderson singled it out as his favorite in the quick list of favorites on his FAQ, and BlankPage co-founder Jesper Bylund called it his favorite fiction book, a funny fantasy satire set as the printing press arrives.

My favorite fiction book however is The Truth by Terry Pratchett. It’s a fantastic fantasy satire in which the printing press is just being invented, and all the political upheaval that is caused by it. You’ll laugh out loud. Trust me on this.
