About the book
Anthony de Mello's last book gathers thirty-one short meditations on love and the illusions that block it. He argues that love grows out of awareness: only by seeing other people as they really are can anyone begin to love them. De Mello asks readers to turn the same clear sight on themselves and drop their misconceptions, while admitting that the act of seeing is the most painful one. The meditations are brief and pointed, in keeping with his usual style. De Mello led the Sadhana Institute of Pastoral Counseling, based in Poona, India, and wrote several other books before this final one.
Sam Altman said he recommends it often and that it takes about an hour to read, and Ryan Holiday called it a highlight of his reading year in 2015.

Another inspiring coach recommended the book The Way To Love to me. It has nothing to do with sports, but was a highlight of my reading year.

The last thing I read, it's really short, I recommend it, a lot. It's called The Way to Love, by Anthony de Mello. It'll take you like an hour to read.
