Written with Larry Sloman, Mike Tyson's memoir runs from a boyhood of being bullied in one of Brooklyn's poorest, roughest neighborhoods to his rise as the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history. Tyson is frank about the reckless behavior that undercut his career: years of partying, violent fights and criminal cases had left him by 2003 a convicted felon, broke and a late-night punch line. The book then follows his return, as a man who has confessed an addiction to everything, through a one-man stage show and roles in the Hangover films to a settled life as a husband and father. The tone moves between raw candor and humor.
