About the book

The reminiscences of Richard Feynman, the Nobel Prize-winning physicist, were prepared from recorded conversations with his close friend and drumming partner Ralph Leighton, while he was ill with the cancer that killed him; it was the last of his autobiographical works. One part gathers humorous stories, and he also recalls how his father taught him to think and how he met his first wife, who had tuberculosis before they married; the title is a question she would often ask him. The other covers his work on the Rogers Commission into the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, where a simple experiment showed how the O-rings in the boosters could have failed in the cold, and includes his appendix to its final report.

Mohnish Pabrai calls all of Feynman's books awesome and praises him as a very bright physicist.
