About the book

Steven Pressfield's 2011 follow-up to The War of Art returns to resistance, the force he names as the enemy of creative work, which keeps people from reaching the goals they set. Written as a manifesto, it argues that what matters is not having better ideas but actually doing the work. Pressfield follows a long-form project from first page to last, whether a novel, a screenplay, an album or a piece of software, and identifies the predictable points where resistance strikes, including hitting the wall in the second act. He also outlines steps for defeating it in artistic, athletic or business efforts that demand time and labor.

Andrew Huberman said he loves it, naming it alongside The War of Art and Gates of Fire and calling all three awesome.

I don't know which book to recommend most, but I love "The War of Art." I love "Do the Work." I mean, there are so many, so I won't ask you... To add just one other, "Gates of Fire." They're all awesome.
