About the book
Grant Cardone sorts action into four degrees: no action, retreat, normal action and massive action. Most people, he argues, operate within the first three, while big goals require the fourth, which he calls the 10X Rule. He explains why people get stuck at ordinary levels of action and how to make massive action a discipline, and how to follow each step with more action. He also introduces an estimation of effort calculation for exceeding targets, challenges what he calls the time management myth, gives his reasons why some people fail and others succeed, and offers a formula for solving problems. Cardone presents extreme success as lying outside the realm of normal action.
Podcast host Mark Struczewski singles out Cardone's point that falling short of a 10X target still achieves more than falling short of a goal one tenth the size. Artimization co-founder Haris Siddique says it had a major impact on his career as a sales and marketing professional.

I love what Grant Cardone writes in The 10X Rule, "wouldn't coming up short on a 10X target accomplish more than coming up short on one-tenth of that goal?" In other words, he says it's better to fall short of a one million dollar goal than a $100,000 goal.
