About the book
A lion tracker and life coach, Boyd Varty uses the ancient art of tracking to show how people can recognize their gift, purpose and mission. The book follows a one-day outing in the South African bush, where Varty and two friends track lions, with danger and suspense along the way. Some real tracking skills come through, but the focus is on strategies for everyday life, among them knowing how to navigate, not worrying about the destination and staying alert. Trackers use all their senses to read their surroundings and reach what Varty calls a state of greater aliveness, and following one's inner tracks, he argues, shows what matters most. It was published in 2019.
