Tim Ferriss is an American entrepreneur, bestselling author, angel investor/advisor, and one of the most powerful online personalities. He’s known as the king of self-optimization, always approaching the world as a student.
He’s the author of 5 best selling books dedicated to personal development: The 4-Hour Workweek (2007), The 4-Hour Body, The 4-Hour Chef, Tools of Titans and Tribe of Mentors (2017). His books have been published in 30+ languages.
Ferriss is an advisor and angel investor in technology startups (Uber, Facebook, Shopify, Duolingo, Alibaba, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Evernote, and 50+ others).
He’s called “The Oprah of audio”, due to the influence of his podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show, where he deconstructs world-class performers. It’s the first podcast that has exceeded 200 million downloads.
In 2001, Ferriss founded BrainQUICKEN – a company he successfully exited in 2010. His first book, The 4-Hour Workweek, is based on this period.
In 2013, he started an audiobook publishing venture, Tim Ferriss Publishing.
In 2015, Ferriss declared he took a break from new investing, because of the pressure and stress, preferring to spend his time on his writing and media projects.
In 2017 he moved to Austin, Texas, after living for 17 years in Silicon Valley.
