About the book
The case for holding a small number of carefully chosen stocks, a method called focus investing, sits at the center of Robert G. Hagstrom's study of how Warren Buffett invests. Focus investors pick a concentrated group of businesses after weighing their management and finances against the price of their shares. The approach rests on the idea that what a shareholder earns from a stock depends in the end on the economics of the business behind it. Hagstrom treats a concentrated portfolio as critical to investment success, and the jacket says the strategy has historically beaten the market. He explains what focus investing is and how it works, in plain terms meant for investors at any level of experience.
Charlie Munger said he was flabbergasted by how well written it was, called it a considerable contribution to thinking about the investment process, and urged the audience at a Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting to buy a copy.

Charlie Munger (Vice Chairman/Berkshire Hathaway)
I read it and I was flabbergasted to find it not only very well written, but a considerable contribution to the synthesis of human thought on the investment process. And I would recommend that all of you buy a copy of Hagstrom's second Buffett book.
