About the book

The biography opens with the 2009 car crash that exposed Tiger Woods's serial infidelity and ended the illusion of a perfect life: 14 major championships, more than $100 million a year, a wife and two young children. Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyian, who earlier wrote The System together, interviewed hundreds of people from friends, family and coaches to romantic partners, physicians and Tour pros. Their findings include the breakup his parents forced with his first love, Dina Gravell, yearly payments of $50,000 from the agency IMG to his father Earl as a talent scout before Tiger was a client, and his sex-addiction treatment in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. HBO adapted it as the miniseries Tiger.

Ryan Holiday said he was absorbed and appalled by it and that it was probably the book he talked to the most people about, listing it among the best books he read in 2018.

Ryan Holiday (Media Strategist, Author, Founder/Brass Check)

I was riveted (and appalled) by Tiger Woods and probably talked to more people about this book than anything else I read this year.
