On the Move: A Life
by Oliver Sacks
If anyone is interested in understanding where we are in the arc of medicine and culture, I highly recommend reading Oliver Sacks' book, "On the Move."
Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday Life
So, many years ago, I read the book by Jon Kabat-Zinn, "Wherever You Go, There You Are." It's a beautiful book, both physically and in what's written there, that teaches you to sit down, pay attention to your breathing, redirect your focus, eat a single almond, focus on the experiences.
The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles
And if anyone hasn't read "War of Art," it's an absolute must-read. I've read it many times.
Do the Work
I don't know which book to recommend most, but I love "The War of Art." I love "Do the Work." I mean, there are so many, so I won't ask you... To add just one other, "Gates of Fire." They're all awesome.
Gates of Fire: An Epic Novel of the Battle of Thermopylae
I don't know which book to recommend most, but I love "The War of Art." I love "Do the Work." I mean, there are so many, so I won't ask you... To add just one other, "Gates of Fire." They're all awesome.
